Instant answers
Some questions don't need a web search. Type 2+2, 12 ft in m, or time in tokyo and Neuji
answers directly at the top of the results page — instantly, and entirely on Neuji. The question
is never sent to any third party to be answered, and instant answers add nothing to what Neuji
retains: they are computed in-process, in microseconds, and forgotten with the request.

Everything works in all six interface languages — 12 fuß in meter, dias hasta navidad,
東京の時間 — with each language's own number formats (3,5 km parses as three and a half in
German, Spanish and French).
The world clock
time in tokyo and london and utc shows every place on one card: local time and date, the UTC
offset, a DST badge, a day/night glyph, tomorrow/yesterday chips when a place is across midnight,
the next DST change, and a 24-hour strip that shades each place's business hours so overlap is
visible at a glance. Conversions handle DST edge cases honestly: a time skipped by spring-forward
rolls to the next valid time, and a time that occurs twice takes the earlier — each with a note.
Honest by design
- Sun questions need a named place (
sunrise in tokyo) — Neuji never assumes your location. - Currency uses the European Central Bank's daily reference rates; every card shows the rate date, and a stale snapshot is labeled as such. Informational only.
my ipandmy user agentshow what your browser sent — displayed to you, stored nowhere.- An answer never replaces your results — the web results always render below the card.
Turning it off
Instant answers are on by default. Turn them off in Settings → Search → Instant answers; the results page then never consults the answer engine.
